I also am a Air Force Veteran (Commissioned Officer). I am so disappointed with the present City Council that we (Black) community have. They have the chance to turn a lot of ordinances and laws around for the good while they hold a 4-3 majority but will not. This is quite tipical of a "step and fetch" attitude that may pocess a number of the members. We constantly have road blocks in black neighborhood on or around the first of every month. I never see road block around Jerry Jones or Country Club but, I will see them on Fry, MLK, Gordon, Oak, Magnolia, Forrest....etc.
I recently started an organization called "SMACA" The Socieity for Minority Awareness and Cultural Achievements. We will be a community base Action Group who will not be intimidated by Law Enforcement and no other civic or religious group(s). It is time for every day people to stand up and be counted and recognized by all people and all communities. I was not placed on this earth to be stepped on or ran over by no one. My deceased father spent 29 years in the U.S. Army as a full bird Colonel. My uncle retired as a federal judge in Atlanta Ga. My mother operated the first black owned restaurant in Brooks County back in 1964. We are the Jenrette's and we've never had to beg anyone we won't start now. We want everyone to not having to want the dire necessities of life.

We want everyone to not have to want the necessities of life. We all should have it. This is a correction from the previous posted comment.

Brother Rhynes, my deceased sister and living brother attended the same high school as you. Her name was Arretta Dasher and his name is Lester "Sneakie Pete" Dasher. Their father was Wallace "Sonny" Dasher of Quitman.

I have a legal case that I'm working on (Civil) that you could be a big help on. Please leave a e-mail at: melvinjenrette_2005@yahoo.com for me if you're interested. It is of great urgency and importance to our community. It is an open and shut case.
