Yet, as they sit, eat, sleep, and serve their nation. They must witness the "DISRESPECT" of their COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF by our local elected officials giving their silent approval and participating in the environment where in this VENOM is being spewed.

Therefore as a retired UNITED STATES Military Veteran I cannot support this ill treatment of this president while our beloved nation is engaged in three wars. It is unpatriotic, un-Godly and un-acceptable in my eyes! Therefore I will work to make improvements along the lines of respecting all elected officials that cares and respects the rights of others!

In addition, we realize that today's patriots and christians will continue to spread their love hate relationship while serving their god while America's First Black African President is in office. However, only God could make it possible for TODAY's patriots and god fearing American Citizen to see. George Boston Rhynes compiled the following “CHECK LIST” from Civil Action 89-54-VAL, Judge Hugh Lawson Ruling in October 1997. Judge Lawson granted Lowndes County Jail and Lowndes County Board of Commissioners TWO YEARS to bring the facility within compliance! After the deaths in our local jail and my concern for the lost of human life, I prepared this Unofficial Checklist” to help aid inmate, parents, children, and other concerned Americans about their rights under the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I became frustrated over our local News Media apparently keeping local citizens deaf; dumb, and blind to what took place at public meetings in our community. Therefore citizens were unable to make intelligent decisions based on facts. This is why I do what I do here in Valdosta-Lowndes County and throughout the south in general. Again this was taken directly from The Honorable Judge Hugh Lawson 1997 Ruling which stemmed from complaints from several jailed inmates that was housed in the Valdosta-Lowndes County Jail in 1989. The lead plaintiff was Dorthea Patterson and we are forever indebted to her and those courageous souls that filed their case in FEDERAL COURT! It was to insure that citizens CONSITITUTIONAL RIGHTS were respected, not violated, and that they are consider innocent until proven guilty under the LAW! Thanks for your concern and attention. A. JAIL POPULATION: {Judge Lawson's Ruling is Now outdated, buy inmates still have rights under the CONSITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES}

1. [ ] Are there more than 606 inmates housed in LCLEC, consisting of 550 males inmates and 56 female inmates.

2. [ ] Is two pods of single cells being used and remains available for special use (i.e. medical or disciplinary isolation). (If applicable applies to all questions)

3. [ ] Are all inmates provided with a bed, including a bed frame? (Except in exigent circumstances?

4. [ ] Is the county defendant preparing Jail Count Sheets on a weekly basis and forwarding a copy of the same to plaintiff’s counsel within five (5) business days of the conclusion of each week, while the court retain jurisdiction.

5. [ ] Is housing capacity of 606 being maintained? (And may be exceeded by up to 100 inmates for a maximum period of 72 hours, in the case of exigent circumstance create an unusual and unexpected surge in population but not to be abused. IS THIS BEING FOLLOWED?

6. [ ] Is the LGLEC insuring that no inmate sleeps on the floor with or without a mattress, except by choice of the said inmate.

7. [ ] When it is necessary in exigent circumstances to sleep inmates on the floor they shall be provided a mattress. IS THIS BEING DONE?

8. [ ] Is “exigent circumstances” being determined by the Sheriff? (And shall include, but be limited to, overcrowding as a result of mass arrest).

9. [ ] Is the population of the LCLEC being determined by reference to a daily head count at the LCLEC.

10. [ ] Is the headcount being held at the same time each day.

B. RACIAL SEGREGATION

11. [ ] Is the jail being operated in a racially neutral manner?

12. [ ] Does Jail Staff use racial epithets? )
C. HEALTH CARE

13. [ ] Is sick call held at least five (5) days a week, every week?

14. [ ] Is prescribed medication being dispensed only by defined medical staff?

15. [ ] Are inmates being medically screened at the time of booking by a member of the medical staff trained to carry out such screening?

16. [ ] Is medical screening being recorded on a standard form?

17. [ ] Is medical exhibit “A” being reviewed by the Jail Physician on his or her next working day?

18. [ ] Is the Medical Staff performing a physical examination and health appraisal for each inmate who remain in the facility for more than fourteen (14) days, within sixteen (16) days of the inmates arrival?

19. [ ] Are all inmates being examined for tuberculosis and venereal disease within seventy-two (72) hours of admission?

20. [ ] Are the results of the examination (Tuberculosis and venereal disease) communicated to the inmate by medical staff, with appropriate medical follow-up?

21. [ ] Are results of any HIV tests being maintained as confidential, pursuant to state law?

22. [ ] Are Jail personnel and medical staff being satisfactorily trained in medical emergency care procedures, including awareness of potential emergency situations procedures for notification of a transfer to appropriate medical care provides, first aid and CPR?

23. [ ] Does all personnel have basic first aid training equivalent to that defined by the American Red Cross, with (annual) refresher courses?

24. [ ] Is first aid available in each housing area?

25. [ ] Is a two-(2) way breathing device used to administer CPR included in each kit?

26. [ ] Is the content use and review of said kits pursuant to protocol, attached?

27. [ ] Are all medical and correctional staff have current CPR Certification, and renewed (Annually)?

28. [ ] Are medical records being maintained separately from other inmate records?

29. [ ] Are inmates medical Records available to the jail’s medical staff, but not to jail security staff or inmates?

30. [ ] Inmates requiring medical isolation will be isolated when appropriate. HOWEVER, IS THE JAIL PHYSICIAN MAKING THIS DECISION?

31. [ ] Is there a written contract with the physicians, cooperation, or a small group of cooperating physicians to provide medical care at the jail and to see inmates for routine non-emergent care at the jail?

32. [ ] Is there a physician on call for emergencies 24 hours a day, every day as needed?

33. [ ] If there is no physician on 24 hours duty are the inmate being transported to a community hospital or other emergency facility according to the protocol?

34. [ ] Is LCLEC staffed with one-(1) physician four (4) hours per week on Wednesdays?

35. [ ] Is Two (2) Registered Nurses forty (40) hours per week in place?

36. [ ] Is five (5) licensed practical nurses forty-(40) hours per week in place?

37. [ ] Is one (1), licensed Practical Nurse sixteen (16) hours per week?

38. [ ] Is there a licensed Practical Nurse on duty twenty-four (24) hours a day?

39. [ ] Does the jail maintain a regular arrangement for on-site Mental Health Professional services, including access to a psychiatrist and a licensed clinical Psychologist, or appropriately licensed person with a Masters of Social Work?

40. [ ] Is medical care being provided according to medical protocol?

41. [ ] Is the document entitled Medical Protocols furnished to the court and plaintiff council?

42. [ ] Is properly equipped medical examination rooms, infirmary, isolation rooms, negative air flow rooms, and suicide watch rooms, used only for those purposes?

43. [ ] Is over-the-counter pain relief medication such as a cetaminopher, antacids and other medications as may be ordered by the jail physician made available at no cost from the Security Staff and/or the nursing personnel?

44. [ ] When and if the jail elects to attempt to use O.C.G.A Sec. 42-4-71, no charge shall be levied upon inmates unless an appropriately licenses provider makes a clinical note clearly stating why the sick call visit was warranted and how they knew that inmate knew this fact? IS THIS PROCEDURE BEING DONE?

45. [ ] Is minimally adequate medical, mental health and dental care being provided to all inmates regardless of their ability to pay for said care?

(NOTE: MINIMALLY ADEQUATE CARE IS THAT CARE WHICH WILL ADDRESS ANY URGENT, EMERGENT, OR ROUTING HEALTH CARE ISSUE, AND REASONALLY ATTEMPT TO ASSURE THAT THE INMATE’S HEALTH SITUATION DOES NOT DETERIORATE.)

46. [ ] Whenever possible are urgent or emergent health care issues being definitely addressed?

47. [ ] Is medically indicated appropriate multi-drug therapy available for HIV positive inmates, including protease inhibitors.

D. ACCESS TO COURTS; COMMUNICATION WITH LAWYERS AND COURT; NON-LEGAL COMMUNICATIONS:

48. [ ] Is access to courts, communication with lawyers and courts; non-legal communication?

49. [ ] Is reasonable access to the legal collection set forth to be housed at the Jail?

50. [ ] Are inmates given access on the fifth business day after request to copies of any legal material in the Lowndes County Court house law Library including reported cases?

51. [ ] Are Inmates outgoing privileged correspondence being opened by jail staff?

52. [ ] Are inmates coming privileged correspondence being opened by jail staff outside the presence of the inmates?

53. [ ] Are inmates correspondence read by jail staff?

54. [ ] Are the staff monitoring, taping or positioning themselves so as to overhear telephone or other conversations between an inmate and an attorney?

55. [ ] Are inmates deemed “indigent” if he or she is eligible for a public defender and he/she has less than ten ($10.00) dollars held by the jail on his account?

56. [ ] Are indigent inmates provided, at county expense, up to ten (10) sheets of paper, two (2) stamps, and two (2) envelopes in any week for personal correspondence?

57. [ ] Are indigent inmates provided, at county expense up to twenty-five (25) sheets of paper, five (5) stamps, and five (5) envelopes for his legal correspondence.

58. [ ] Are indigents inmates issued up to one (1) open or pencil per month as needed?

59. [ ] Are indigent inmate with city, state, or county charges shall be permitted one local phone call to a court; and one to his/her lawyer per week, at county expense.

60. [ ] Are indigent inmates with a legal action pending in a federal court shall be permitted one (1) telephone call per week to that court and his/her attorney, wherever located at county expense?

61. [ ] Are indigent inmates permitted to make one free, local call to family members per week? (And permitted to make additional calls at their own expense?

62. [ ] Are inmates working on their own legal proceedings shall have access to a reasonable quiet and adequately illuminated work space, equipped with a desk and chair, or the equivalent writing furniture.

E. VISITATION:

63. [ ] Are regular visitation hours for family and friends scheduled at least once weekly with both daytime and evening visiting periods?

64. [ ] Has the jail implemented an enforced, and written policy with reasonable provision for special visits, e, g., where a visitor’s work hour or distance from Valdosta make visitations during normal hours impractical.

65. [ ] Has provisions been made that inmates and their visitors can discuss personal matters without being overheard by other inmates or other visitors?

66. [ ] Are children included in those who are permitted to visit inmates?

67. [ ] When necessary, are special arrangements being made for contact visitation between parents, and children?

67. [ ] Does inmate have the opportunity for at least thirty (30) minutes of visitation per week.

68. [ ] After one hundred twenty (120) days following completion of the staffing analysis, is each inmate given the opportunity for at least sixty (60) minutes visitation per week?

69. [ ] Does inmates have reasonable access to telephone services, and not shut off as a means of group punishment.

F. RECREATION:

70. [ ] Has the jail assured the availability of reasonable variety of reading material through the use of a book cart or similar system, selected periodicals arrangements with the regional library or other means?

71. [ ] Are inmates provided each week the opportunity for at least three (3) periods, each of at least one (1) hour duration, for outdoor exercise, weather permitting?

72. [ ] Within one hundred twenty (120) days following completion of the staffing analysis. Are inmates provided each week the opportunity for at least five (5) periods, each of at least one (1) hour duration, for outdoor exercise, weather permitting?

G. FOOD:

73. [ ] Are inmates served at least three meals a day?

74. [ ] Are the meals nutritionally adequate means for inmates?

75. [ ] Are all meals planned or approved in consultation with a trained dietician to insure that minimum nutritional allowances are met?

76. [ ] Are special medical diets for inmates made available upon medical authorization?

77. [ ] Are diets provided with an inmate’s religious belief require adherence to dietary laws?

78. [ ] Are provisions made for religious diets as approved after consultation with the Jails Chaplain or other religious authority?

H. ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS:

79. [ ] Does the ventilation and airflow in the jail meet the standards required by the American Correctional Association?

80. [ ] Is the Jail adhering to written plans for cleaning, housekeeping, and both regular and emergency maintenance procedures.

I. JAIL PROCEDURES AND POLICIES.

81. [ ] Is the document entitled “LOWNDES COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL,” in effect---and available?

J. INMATE HYGIENE.

82. [ ] Are male inmates provided with a complete clean change of clothing every other day?

83. [ ] Are females inmates provided with a complete clean change of clothing every other day?

84. [ ] Are women allowed to bring in at least seven (7) panties and two (2) bras; or the jail shall issue each woman new panties and bras?

85. [ ] Does the jail insure that: In no case will a woman be issued male underwear or previously used under ware?

86. [ ] Upon admission to the facility! Are each male inmate issued a toilet kit consisting of a bar of soap, tooth brush, toothpaste, a comb, deodorant, shaving cream, and a razor?

87. [ ] Are Razors blades issued weekly and picked after use?

88. [ ] Upon admission to the facility! Are each female inmate issued the same toilet kit and adequate supply of sanitary pads or tampons (at the Woman’s election).

89. [ ] Are sanitary napkins and tampons issued pursuant to a woman’s individual needs?

90. [ ] Is a clean mattress and blanket furnished to each inmate upon admission.

91. [ ] Are the blanket cleaned every sixty (60) days?

92. [ ] Are cracked mattresses replaced as soon as cracks are discovered?

K. COMMISSARY

93. [ ] Does the Jail Commissary sell, at no more than a twenty (20%) markup over actual cost, a reasonable number variety of personal care items and nutritious snack foods, such as dried or fresh fruit?

94. [ ] Are profits from operation of the Jail Commissary placed in a fund for occasional expenses for the welfare of inmates, such as for the purpose of items for group recreation or sports activities?

L. STAFFING AND SECURITY.

95. [ ] Is Jail adequately staffed to assure that the jail will be operated in a safety and secure manner and so that the provisions of this agreement be carried out without impairment to the security of the jail and its inmates?

96. [ ] Has the LCSD? Assured that a complete staffing analysis of the jail been conducted by the Department of Community Affairs or the Georgia’s Association?

97. [ ] Are the Sheriff, ensuring that: No post-trial inmate shall be housed in the LCLEC in excess of sixty (60) days following sentencing?

M. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS:

97. [ ] Is a handbook furnished to each inmate upon admission to the Jail?

98. [ ] Does the LCSD allow plaintiff’s counsel, paralegal or experts to inspect the LCLEC during normal business hours?

Joseph McFadden Sr.

Joseph McFadden Sr., 79, of Valdosta passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006, at a South Georgia Medical Medical Center.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1927, in Lowndes County to the late Dewey and Flossie Sermon McFadden. He was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.; served as assistant superintendent of the Sunday School, which he loved so much; was retired and served in the United States Army in the transportation department.

Mr. McFadden Sr. was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Flossie L. Clyburn.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Eulene A. McFadden; three daughters, Joe Carolyn Williams of Augusta, Geraldine Orr of Atlanta and Wilhelmenia Morrell of Landover, Md.; three sons Frankie L. McFadden, Miami, Fla., Lamar McFadden, Valdosta, Joseph L. McFadden Jr. of the U.S. Army; 12 grandchildren, Calvin (Charmira) Orr, Jr., Baltimore, Md., Debra (Ennis) Davis, Pensacola, Fla., Jason (Irene) Orr, Iraq, Fransenia (Henry) Woods, San Angelos, Texas, Roger Williams, Valdosta, Walter Williams, Lithonia Springs, Ga., Tara Dunn, Warner Robins, LeVon (Jamillah) Morrell, Atlanta, Daryl (Nuwana) Morrell, Lawrenceville, Sheldon McFadden and Mamie McFadden, both of Miami, Fla.. and Jeffery Caithers, U.S. Navy, Va.; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Alesha, Jason, Jr., Christopher, Daniel, DeJah, Jyah and Jordan; a cousin Lester C. Open Records Request Denied! Secretary of State, (Deaths in Lowndes County Jail)

Several "Open Records" requests were made to the Valdosta-Lowndes County Sheriffs Department on the number of Jail deaths on June 11, June 24, and Jul 16th, 2010 but not even courteous reply to these letters have been received--even though thirty inmates have reportedly died in or surrounding the facility.

1. Are the people in our community unconcerned about the lost of human life?

2. When will this trend end, and where are Gerogia Politicians on this issue?

3. Why have not local news papers and television stations done an investigation or published the names of these deceased inmates to the general public after twenty-years?

4. Are local Media Outlets keeping citizens deaf, dumb, and blind therby contributing to the ill conditions?

5. Where are the faith community on these deceased inmates for whatever reasons?

6. How many more must die without even informing the Public?

7. How much Money have been paid out because of these deaths?

8. How much money have been paid for the inhumane living conditions?

9. Why don't the news papers and television stations want citizens to know?

10. When will citizens began to care about human life in Valdosta-Lowndes?

11. * Where is the United States Justice Department since they have been consistently notified for twenty-years?

12. Why have not Moody Air Froce Commanders attempted to have local news papers and television cover these unreported deaths since on airmen from Moody Air Froce died un suspicious circumstances in 1971?

13. Does citizens have a right to know? And does Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia have their own rules, policies, and set of laws?

14. Why have the following letters NOT be answered?

15. Does the lost of human life have any value in Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia?

16. As a military town how can United States Military Veterans NOT be concerned about lost of human life? Since they put their lives on the line in foreign countries for people they did not know. So why can't they stand up for their own fellow Americans and their own children here in Valdosta-Lowndes County Georgia? Whats wrong with military veterans?

This a my third request June 11, 2010, June 23, and 2010, for “3rd Open Records Request” for an updated listing of all deceased jailed inmates from January 1994 – June 2010 within and surrounding the Lowndes County Jail for whatever reasons---but have not received a REPLY TODATE. This list should include all jailed inmates that were discharged and sent home to die as we have been informed by citizens, and former inmates.

ADDED REQUEST: Yesterday at 1:15 I received a phone call from a retired United States Air Force Senior Master Sergeant now living in Texas. He was stationed at Moody AFB, and has been receiving treatment for the death of his room mates death and HE has added a special request. That the list of deaths be given back from January 1971 to 1 July 2010.

I commend you for your time in office as Valdosta-Lowndes County Sheriff and was inspired by the manner in which you ran your campaign. Many local citizens looked for great things during your administration and a more open administration during your tenure.

Today I can honestly say that “we are not who we claim to be but who we prove ourselves to be over a given period of time.” Previously the Sheriff provided the Georgia State President Edward Dubose, SCLC President Floyd Rose, and my self copies of the information being requested today and it was extremely helpful. Thanks for your efforts in this continued update on behalf of all concerned citizens in our beloved community.

On June 11, 2010 I sent an "Open Records Request" to the Valdosta-Lowndes County Sheriffs Department requesting the number of deaths that have occurred in the Valdosta-Lowndes County Jail from 1994 to June 1, 2010 for whatever reasons.

As of today! I have not received a phone call or a courteous reply to my request. Is this permitted and did I make an unauthorized request to the Lowndes County Sheriffs Department? Please advise me on this matter on behalf of the general public right to know; if such right exists in the State of Georgia.

I have requested such DATA from other local government agencies many times in the past and have never been ignored for such a long period of time. I may have made an illegal request and made two “OPEN RECORDS REQUESTS.” However I have not received any response to my request whatsoever.

It was reported in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and in other news papers that Lowndes County was leading the state in jail deaths for whatever reasons. Even the Valdosta Daily Times did an extensive story on the jail deaths.

Moreover the community was provided a listing of jail deaths a few years ago from the then Sheriff. However our records need to be updated and keep the general public informed on local government affairs in the State of Georgia.

It has been reported that 30 jail deaths have occurred and this “OPEN RECORDS REQUEST” is nothing more than an attempt to set the records straight based on correct data from our government agency. I await your response to this matter ASAP on behalf of concerned citizens in our beloved community.

I received a letter and statements signed by eleven citizens of the “United States of America” incarcerated in the Valdosta-Lowndes County Jail--- post dated, 11 August 2003.

“Minister Rhynes, please help us--- we need an outside agency to come into this jail, and help us! We have exhausted all avenues at our level. If you can find it in your heart--- we will appreciate it! Enclosed you will find copies of statements concerning an incident that occurred in Lowndes County Jail on the morning of July 23, 2003, at 8:30. Needless to say --- this incident has been conveniently swept under the rug.”

Excerpts from the four- (4) pages of inmate’s statement! (Available upon request)

- “On 23 July 2003, at 8-8:30 AM a deputy pulled out a pistol like object, and waved it around before aiming squarely at an inmate. We had trouble getting this statement notarized by jail official (I am not signing a damn thing---name withheld). Officers routinely taunt and agitate inmates. No one will listen to us; it is cruel to keep a man in cell B1, without ventilation and no air conditioning. We need help from an outside agency – please help us Minister Rhynes. We have exhausted all our avenues.”

Questions to the District Attorney:

1. Is “The Lowndes County Law Enforcement Policy and procedure Manual” kept up to date? When was the last time it was reviewed by the State—if required? Where can citizen’s checkout this “Manual?”

2. When was a complete Staffing Analysis of the Jail conducted by the Department of Community Affairs or the Georgia Sheriffs Association? Where has this been documented if required?

3. When it is determined that citizens being held in the Lowndes County Jail Constitutional Rights are being violated--- who ensures that corrections be made. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLYING WITH A JUDGE ORDER AND CONCENT DEGREE?

4. When was the last Federal, State, County, or City inspection done on the Lowndes County Jail? Is there any requirement for these agencies to perform such inspection? If so, what was the rating? Where are they filed? Are they made available to the General Public?

5. Since repeated complaints of abuse and mistreatment at the Lowndes County Jail. Have any type of survey --- been conducted by questioning the entire jail population ----of jail inmates? (To ensure that inmates Constitutional and State Rights are not still being violated).

6. What have you done as District Attorney --- to ensure that the safety and well being of inmates are in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Laws?

7. Who educates the members of the Grand Jury on what to check for--- during their tour of the jail? Do they use a checklist---- provided by the Federal, State or County during their tour of the Jail?

8. Is the Foreman of the Grand Jury, and his/her assistance ---- given the proper guidelines for reviewing the County Jail? Is the report from the Grand Jury, worth the paper that it is written on?

9. Who performs (OVERSIGHT REVIEW); on the County Sheriffs Department to insure inmate’s complaints are adequately investigated IAW, Federal, State Law and Local Policies if applicable?

10. Who insures, that those who use the complaint system are not retaliated against for using the established Complaint system? Has any type survey been conducted to insure this is not the case?

11. Is there a requirement for Medical Staff at the jail ---to be inspected on their competence and professionalism? If so by whom---and how often?

11. Are you familiar with an old “Civil Action #89-54-VAL, U. S. District Court of Middle Georgia, Valdosta Division? Who was responsible for complying with this Court Order---- and Consent Decree? Who insured that all discrepancies were fixed permanently---- that the county would not be guilty of not complying with the decree?

LASTLY: As a Retired Disabled Veterans of the United States Air force, Minister of truth, Single Parent, Business Owner, Community Organizer, concerned citizen, and frustrated over the continued prolong alleged, inhuman, unsanitary, and abusive conditions that exists within our community:

a. Request a written reply to this letter. As to what you will do to assist these, eleven- (11), inmates—and aid, in an investigation of this alleged incident. Which appears to be quite serious because a weapon is said to have been involved (Lowndes County Jail)? In addition, whose responsibility is it to insure that these inmates will not be abused because they requested outside help! Thanks, on behalf of those who requested outside assistance in their dilemma.

[Headlines in the Valdosta Daily Times on 30 January 2005. JAIL WOES (But Nothing about the human beings living in these conditions) The question MUST be asked by people of conscious. DOES THEIR LIFE MEAN ANYTHING TO EDITORS, AND REPORTERS?]

On 30 January 2005, Grace Accosting a reporter of the Valdosta Daily Times reported. Inside the Lowndes County Jail are cracked walls, rusted pipes and locks that require maintenance. Capt. J.D. Yeager at the jail is mystified as to how the food storage facility passed inspections. They use an intake built for 124 inmates that now accommodate more than 600 on a Friday or Saturday night. Eight (8) to 12 inmates lay out in the hall says Capt. Yeager.

They wash 600 dishes by hand half of the time---because the dishwasher is broken. There is no adequate food storage area. Capt. Yeager is mystified as to how they could receive 80s and 90s on food scores.

Hundreds of entangled wires cause cells and jail doors to malfunction. Pluming problems are rusty copper and terracotta pipes, water faucets in the shower or sinks run constantly. While some are covered with toothpaste caps to prevent leaking.

On the Opinion page it reports: The Managing Editor of the Times is Kay Harris, Publisher Keith Blevins, and General Manager J. H. (Sandy) Sanders reported in their Opinion Column. That their Editorial Board toured the jail and determined that the jail needs improvement---nothing was off limits.

“We found a facility that has seriously out grown its capacity and is in critical need of an expansion. Pluming issues were among the worst problems and food for 600 inmates is prepared in a kitchen smaller than the ones in many homes. Inadequate medical clinic, lack of air circulation, spread of disease is a concern, inmate sleeping in boats on the floor. Moreover, they reported---It is a shame that these conditions have been allowed to deteriorate to this point.” However, the TIMES failed to mention the many inmates having to live under these inhumane, unsanitary conditions. THEY REFUSED TO EVEN MENTION THAT AS A RESULT OF THESE ILL CONDITIONS INMATES PROBABLY SUFFERED AS A RESULT. HOW CAN THIS BE IN THE 21ST CENTURY? Moreover, there have been about eight inmates OR MORE who have died in our surround the jail---for whatever reason. The most recent Death was on 21 June 2004.

It is my opinion that OUR ONLY NEWSPAPAER has contributed to these ill conditions---- by refusing to do investigative reporting as editor Al Parson of the Lake Park Post did---for over 16 years. Their article is the reason WE need help in this South Georgia Town.

Even a person with below average intelligence could have read and reported the findings of a U.S. District Court Judge of the Middle District of Georgia, Valdosta Division. Wherein, Judge Hugh Lawson ruled in his Court Order and consent decree #89-54-VAL, (over sixteen years ago). Those 105 violations must be corrected within two years. Apparently this was not done because many of these problems were identified nearly two decades ago.

While local citizens watched in shock as our “only Daily News Paper” refuse to inform the general public. For more information and follow-up on this two decade old “Hell Hole.” As referred to by Editor Al Parson in a two-hour documentary video entitled “A Chorus of Fear” produced by Professors and students at Valdosta State University. A must for All Americans to see.

Moreover, letters highlighting inmate’s requests and alleged abuses are available upon request from several local organizations.

Inmates have been ignored by the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners, State Representatives and many other elected officials. However, for over 20 years jailed inmates continues to write letters, tell their parents, children, and file law suits seeking outside help to get through the wall of silence—but to no avail. We have signed letters, and notarized statements from inmates who ask me personally to get some concerned person in America to help them. Needless to say no one is concerned about this Hell Hole according to inmates many of whom are American Veterans!

It appears that many Americans care more about Iraqi oil, and the liberation of the people of Iraq. Than our own suffering citizens, mothers, fathers, children, pastors, and lawyers here in the Homeland. Peace!

Oops! The Valdosta Daily Times published another rant on July 13, 2006. “Well, I loved Ossie Davis, but you are absolutely right. He contributed nothing to Valdosta, and he nor his family certainly did not contribute the land that the park is on. (Barber Park). Seems that it was donated by, Yes, the Barber Family.

I didn’t know these people but without the Barber family there certainly would be no park for all you WHINERS to be using for FREE.”

This person and others who contributed to this publication shows the deeply entrenched state of ignorance of too many people in our community. Moreover, the lack of fair and balanced reporting of truth contributes to citizens being ill informed.

On 12 July 06, the Valdosta Daily Times published a rant concerning Lowndes County Jailed inmates. ”Why should inmates be entitled to A/C? There are some innocent people that have not committed a crime in Valdosta that cannot afford it. So they can do without A/C because we are tired of paying for it. They should also cut off the cable TV in the jail so the inmates can think about what they did wrong and try to correct.”

Again, this renter need to see the ruling of the Honorable Judge Hugh Lawson of U.S. District Courts Order and Consent decree Civil Action #89-54-VAL of the Middle District of Georgia Valdosta Division rendered in October 1997, (now expired).

Hello World! Is anybody listening?

It is strange that the following deaths could happen in the United States of America in the 21st Century in the land of the free and the home of the graves? Nightly News rather report a dog stuck in a box, a cat trapped in a tree, a fish born with two tails, or who had a baby by whom? News anchors laugh, play games and talk about silly non-important issues as if though we are little puppets. While they ignore the real issues that the American People are truly concerned about.

Too many Americans claim to love our veterans, and support our troops. However, after sixteen known and verified deaths for whatever reason in the Lowndes County Jail. It places a white mark over our form of government with five (5) deaths within the last 10 months, and sixteen within 12 years for whatever reason.

Yet! No elected official have demanded an internal investigation of any kind into these deaths or a survey done among Lowndes County inmates on the conditions at the jail.

I am beginning to question why I spent twenty-one years in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam Era under the banner of fighting for FREEDOM, JUSTICE, EQUALITY, and the AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE.

I am strongly disappointed in 48 hours, 60 minutes, Dateline, MSNBC, Department of Justice, followers of JESUS CHRIST, MOSES, MOHAMMAD, newspapers, Associated Press, Elected Officials, and others who seem to do the ostrich head duck. .

It appears that FREEDOM is not FREE and that we do not get what we pay for. Moreover, we the people must ask why are our sons and daughters dying in Iraq (NOW), while America's mass media WHITEOUT machine bury their heads in the sand like the legend concerning the ostrich.

While jailed American Citizens, and Veterans are dying on continual bases in the homeland for whatever reason.

Yet! Americans claim to be Christians, patriots, and all the other high and holy names we find in the Volume of Sacred Law called BIBLE. This is a strange dilemma and disgrace to all major news media networks of our nation. But then again, who cares?

Since these inmates do not possess oil or other natural resources. They must be unimportant to those in control of the News Media, and our government. So they just squash that which the founding mothers and fathers gave their life to establish and maintain in our beloved nation. How sad?

21. [ ] MICHAEL WAYNE DIXON, Age 39, died cause of death, suicide, found hanging from his cell, (arrested for armed robbery, aggravated assault and attempting to loot), Arrested on May 13, 2008.

22.[ ] NAME WITHHELD, REQUEST OF FAMILY: G.J. (BLACK MALE), died February 2009, waiting local TV-Stations and Newspaper to publish and do their story. Citizens can only ask why these human beings names are not being published to the general public.

SPECIAL NOTE: On May 5, 2005 WHEN fifteen local citizens were arrested by Valdosta City Officials and confined in the Lowndes County Jail for addressing their elected officials. That inmates informed us of six alleged other deaths not on this list. However, because we cannot verify them we have omitted their names but feel sure they are correct. (They believe they were sent home and to the hospital to later die instead of dying in the jail).

[2009Nathaniel Sloan, Age 42, DIED SEPTEMBER 26, 2009, Medical Facility, arrested July 13, 2009, Burglary by Valdosta Police Department, presented himself to the medical facility with a fever, had been isolated since the previous day, was on medication, nurse checked on him at 1:48 am, appeared to be doing fine, 30 minutes later Nurse came he was NOT BREATHING PROPERLY. Nurse called the EMTs.

If an inmate had a stroke the first weekend of June 2006 in the Lowndes County Jail, and the inmate could not move his arm on one side of his body. And if the inmate (perhaps) was not given proper medical treatment, and a concerned inmate called an outside person to help this inmate.

Then the outsider arrived and bonded the inmate out of jail. Then took him home and later to a local hospital where HE was a patient until a couple of days ago where he DIED.

Would you inform the citizens of Valdosta, and Lowndes County Georgia and beyond of the circumstances surrounding this death in a timely manner?

Moreover, would you consider the incident news worthy since the inmate allegedly had a stroke while in the jail?

In addition: If the following inmates died in our local jail would you have notified the public of these deaths? If so, on what dates were they reported to the people of Valdosta, Lowndes County Georgia, and beyond---by your news media outlet?

b. Clarence Fender, (WHITE), age 70, died 2 April 2006: CAUSE OF DEATH: Heart Attack. Would you find this news worthy to report to the people of Valdosta, Lowndes County and beyond?

Lastly: If these two inmates died in our surrounding the jail and the public does not know about them. Then is it possible that other inmates could have died and not reported to the public?

I did a goggle search, a Valdosta Daily Times search, and could not find either of them on the Internet. How could this be since one happened as recent as 2 April 2006?

If my math is correct, and according to information given to Georgia State NAACP Conference President Edward DuBose by Sheriff Ashley Paulk following the press conference on July 5, 2006.

There have been about five deaths within ten months, and fifteen since 1994.

The Georgia State NAACP President Edward DuBose held a press conference at the Lowndes County Jail on July 5, 2006. The press release was sent throughout the State of Georgia, and President DuBose did a couple of interviews and press conferences outside the Valdosta/Lowndes County area.

However, our only news paper The Valdosta Daily Times did not cover this MAJOR community event. Although, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and other relative from three of the fifteen deceased inmates were present. This included the mother, fathers, and aunt of the most resent death of inmate George Hill Jr., who died on 23 June 2006. The families can only imagine why these deaths seem to be of little concern to the people of Valdosta, Lowndes County, State of Georgia and beyond. How sad?

The Valdosta Daily Times editor published a rant on 6 July 06. ï¿½YOU CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE CONDITIONS AT THE JAIL ALL YOU WANT, BUT AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THOSE CRIMINALS HAVE IT TOO GOOD DOWN THERE AS IT IS NOW."

However, after thirteen know deaths in our surrounding the Lowndes County Jail. With three families of deceased inmates represented. Our only daily news paper failed to publish one word concerning the Georgia State Conference President (NAACP), Edward DuBose Press Conference at the Jail on 5 July 06.

Although, a press release was made throughout the state of Georgia and local television stations interviewed many persons in attendance. Our community have become accustomed to omissions of news worthy events such as this in our beloved community.

The person who wrote the rant probably never read U.S. District Court Judge Hugh Lawson Court Order and Consent Decree 89-54-VAL, (Now Expired), see below of the ill conditions in the jail back in 1989, or Leigh Touchton letter on the ill conditions at the jail, or seen a 90 minutes documentary video put together by professors from Valdosta State University of the ill conditions in the jail. Or reviewed justification why a new jail will not cure the many problems that have existed for nearly 20 years in the facility.

Renovation Alone Will Never Fix The Problems In the Jail

The Valdosta Daily times (VDT) is our only daily newspaper in Lowndes County Georgia. And on 14 Aril 2004, the (VDT), article by Michelle Taylor reported “George Rhynes questioned why his letter had not been responded to and that no amount of renovation of the jail will help inmates.” My actual quote: “The Valdosta Daily Times reported a few days ago---that the Lowndes County Commissioners should work quickly to renovate the jail facility. However, no amount of renovation alone, in my opinion will fix discrepancies inmates are facing today.” THE FOLLOWING IS MY REASONS FOR MAKING THE ABOVE STATEMENT BEFORE THE Lowndes County Board of COMMISSIONERS. AS A CONCERNED CITIZEN I WILL----REPEAT THE SAME STATEMENT TO THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, AND FELLOW AMERICANS-----BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS FROM REAL INMATES SIGNED LETTERS, AND NOTARIZED STATEMENTS SENT TO ME---ASKING FOR MY ASSISTANCE. "LOWNDES COUNTY JAIL PROBLEMS” Information Provided From: [Inmates in the Lowndes County Jail (19 July – Aug 2003), who sent correspondence reflecting the following conditions. Inmates are incarcerated for months without seeing their Court Appointed Attorney. Therefore, they are denied due process. 2. Deputy pulls out a pistol like object and waves all around before aiming squarely at inmate and telling inmate to “get against the wall.” All because inmates want to complete a complaint form on a deputy. 3. Inmates kneed in back by deputy and his forearm in the back of his neck and trying to push inmate (Name withheld but available), face into the wall – at which time inmate (Name Withheld, but available), rightfully defended himself against those unwarranted, unprovoked acts by deputy. 4. Inmates denied the right to file a legitimate complaint form in the State of Georgia when it is against a deputy. 5. Georgia Inmates have problems getting regular complaint forms notarized as proof that action was taken deputy said; “I ant’s signing a damn thing – get it signed yourself.” 6. Inmates must show copy of sixth amendment to educate deputy on inmate rights. (The deputy tells inmate to “get out of my face,” and pushes inmate, unprovoked. All as a result of attempting to fill out a Georgia complaint form. 7. Incidents are swept under the rug rather than being properly investigated. And no one will listen to inmates concerns within Jail facility. 8. Inmates must endure cruel and unusual punishment at the jail. There must be an outside agency to inspect this jail for things to change. 9. Many tours are done through the jail. But the bad areas are not shown. Only tailored tours are given. The kitchen is not always shown; therefore, no valid review of the jail is done. 10. Drinking water is unfit to drink and food is terrible. 11. Inmates are required to live in inhumane, unsanitary and abusive conditions. (Squalid Conditions). 12. Cell doors sticks when opened from control booth --- that creates problems! Inmates are locked in cell because of malfunction! 13. Deputies play with the fans and taunts and agitate inmates in cellblocks where there is no ventilation or air conditioning. 14. Inmates must endure leaky water pipes, in dormitory; pools of water are over the floor. This is a hazard because inmates are required to wear flip-flops. 15. When inmates try to keep a potential bad situation from getting worst. Deputies often make things worst by not paying attention to the needs of inmates—as it was on 23 July 2003! 16. Lowndes County Administrations lie and don’t acknowledge the handbook they give out to inmates. 17. Food is not nutritional, and inmates have questioned its cleanliness. 18. Two cells (cell 12 A & B) has no bed frame or nothing in it at all, besides out of order toilets and the sink does not work at all. 19. If an inmate does something, like cursing a Sgt. or Officer. He will be booked 9 out of 10. He is going to one of these cells depending what Sergeant. 20. Inmates are stripped naked left in this conditions for long periods of time. 21. Jail staff will not provide water as needed and inmates do not get showers or wash his/her hands face or do any hygiene customs. 22. Inmates are placed in cell (12B) with no mattress or nothing else for necessities. 23. Inmates are placed in handcuffs and shackled for 7 days and six nights straight. (Copy of incident on File in Jail says inmates).. 24. The jail has a restraint chair, inmates are not allowed to use the bathroom, and a chance to stretch as provided by polices in force by the State of Georgia. 25. Medical staff is very much on the side of the Sheriffs office, and does not administer the needs of inmates. 26. The Medical Staff lies, hides issues, and don’t document incidents that happen that could cause legal trouble for the administration. 27. Inmates families are lied to by Jail administration when they call concerning their love ones welfare. 28. This jail is very unconstitutional and several inmates say that it is ran in a racist manner. 29. The jail handbook is a fraud; in fact, it is so easy to prove. 30. Inmates needs to be interviewed, and the facility should be inspected everywhere there is a swinging doors. 31. (Name Withheld but available), was recently fired; (Gender withheld but available), could be a vital witness in every issue if (Gender withheld), is willing to do so --- to confirm these horrendous conditions. 32. Since the Jail started toting lasers to Las inmates when out of control. But that’s not how they are being used and I believe the situation will get worst. 33. Inmates are denied their rights to have access to the Law Library even without requests and that’s not happening. 34. Inmates are taxed when they buy stamps and on store items. (Inmates believe they are exempt from this practice.) 35. PERSONAL REQUEST: Inmates requested that I (George B. Rhynes) call on the community to sign a petition for the inspectors office and the U. S. Marshals Office to inspect and investigate the Jail Administrations. 36. Inmates (Name Withheld but available) was left in the restraints chain for 18 hours straight on one occasion in the past. 37. HANDBOOK VIOLATIONS: Each inmate may designate up to twelve immediate family members etc. [This is not being done we are limited to six] 38.Each inmate will participate in an organized and supervised program of daily cleaning within his housing and common areas. [This is not being done at all] 39.Inmates in the hold (cell 8) do not ever get to clean his call --- practically have to beg to receive cleaning materials. 40. Each inmate will be entitled to shower daily and required to shower three (3) times a week. [This is not happening. Inmates in (cell 8,) and the (MP) area. Also medical isolated inmates are forced to receive the minimum (3 showers a week). Even officers try to rush inmates out of showers. 41.Disciplinary process must be fair and systematic so that no person staff or inmate may plead ignorance of the rules or bias in the procedures. Hasty arbitrary decision and/or corporal punishment shall not be allowed. [This is not the case] 42. Inmates are convicted by one person, where inmates are suppose to be placed in lock-up then incident is supposed to be investigated and then a hearing. [This is not being done} 43. ABOVE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT VIOLATIONS: But there are many more! 44. The Medical Staff and Administration: (Name withheld, but available), LPN/RN is the Head Nurse. She distributes medication in water out of the capsule before she’s in inmates presence. This violates inmates rights to confirm exactly what’s in the water and if it’s the correct medication. 45. (Name withheld but available), (LPN) ignores inmates verbal complaints. If it is about issues and Sheriff Admin Office say, “they can’t make medical to nothing.” 46. Some nurses will refuse inmates his/her medicine if the inmates and nurse has had an altercation and jail Administrators condone the action and will not stop it. 47. Constitutional Rights and Civil Rights are still being violated as of 2003. 48. Inmates have exhausted all their avenues, and they seek outside help from any body that will help them. They believe many people only procrastinate about providing relief about the ill Administration in the Lowndes County Jail. 49. Some inmates are willing to take some steps but not nearly, enough that would be significant to bring enough stress on the jail to change their ill actions, inhuman, treatment towards inmates. 50. The whole issue of the extreme bad conditions in the jail rests on the Sheriff because of his lack of concern and interest of the Jail’s operations. 51. The Sheriff is intentionally accepting fabrications from jail administrations to hide the facts that there are some serious violations inside his jail and with its operation in my opinion. II. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT OWN ADMISSION: Capt. Yeager from the Sheriffs Department as reported in the Valdosta, Daily times! 52, We have massive plumbing problems. 53. Water runs non-stop in sections of the jail creating safety hazards. 54. Toothpaste tubes are stuffed into showerheads in attempt to stop leaks. 55. Water in cell refuse to discharge any water this is typical. 56. Staff has to pour acid down all of the drains to keep leeches and other pests from entering the jail especially shower areas. 57. Rusty shower frames, which Capt. Yeager said inmates are using to make shanks. 58. Heat swelter to over 100 degrees and no air. 59. Many windows no longer opens and oscillating fans only serve to push heat air around. 60. Cell locks are obsolete larger security pods can be opened with as little as a bed sheet or an identification card, giving the inmates undesired freedom of movement. 61. Control boards are also fading that controls operate most of the doors. The alternative is to give jail personnel individual keeps, which is a liability risk. 62. Jail held 570 people, but jail staff was forced to cook three meals in a 1956 kitchen designed to feed 80 prisoners. 63. Capt. Yeager said “A jail our size should have a kitchen four times this size.” 64. Jail intake area was designed to handle 120 people though they have 500 and there is no way to segregate male and female prisoners at the intake desk. 65. The Infirmary has a capacity of only 10 prisoners. It has no negative air flow areas to handle infectious disease cases---it has become a logistic nightmare. 64.Transporting prisoners to court appearances are so inadequate that inmates are stacked in visitation areas. 66. Sewer lines are also corroded and the City of Valdosta has put the Sheriffs Office on notice that they jail will soon need its own lift station and grinder to keep solid waste out of the city’s treatment system. 66. Doors jambs are stifling, creating unstable doors, which could potentially be forced opened. 67. The conditions at the jail also effect the 108 jail employees. 68. Employees should not be exposed to such bad conditions that now exist in the jail. CONCLUSION: For more read the legal section on page 6B of the Valdosta Daily Times dated 5 September 2003. And ask the real question-  Who is responsible for allowing this jail to get into this condition? Note: Most of the violations are the same ones identified in U. S. District Court For the Middle District of Georgia Valdosta Division. Civil Action No. 89-54-VAL, Consent Order And Decree, and Class Action dated June 6, 1989, and should have been corrected and complied with. HOWEVER THIS DECREE IS NO LONGER VALID AS I UNDERSTAND IT. a. The Question to this community should be—who ensured that this order was complied with? Was it the DA, County Commissioners, Sheriff, or the concerned citizens! Somebody should be held accountable! Information compiled from letters received from Inmates & Valdosta Daily times. It appears that Representative Cynthia McKinney of Georgia was correct after all. Apparently, she reported what Americas white, male, dominated controlled mass media refused to report.

Throughout America, a group of white people selects stories, editorials and opinion that will maintain the status quo, keep their jobs, and disregard freedom of the press.

America’s news media is a powerful tool with the ability to start and stop wars---as in Vietnam. I am convinced that the news media refused to report the truth concerning war with Iraq, eliminating weapons of mass destruction, and liberating the people of Iraq.

However, it is our sons and daughters who are dying on a daily basis in Iraq. A few days ago there were three Americans soldiers reportedly killed an injured in one-day.

However, foreign press reported the number was eight killed--but we may never know the actual number of deaths. Peace!

Recently the Valdosta City Mayor and Council appointed a special committee to study renaming Barber Park from its segregated and shameful past. This park is located in a community that is 97 percent Black. And on May 5, 2005 the Mayor and Council had fifteen citizens arrested for allegedly disrupting a public meeting (City Council Meeting).

Moreover, they were held in the Lowndes County Jail for twenty-four hours without bond. The Rev. Floyd E. Rose an elderly minister was placed in solitary confinement away from others arrested with him.

Then in April 2006, the Georgia Supreme Courts ruled the arrest unconstitutional.

It seems strange that city officials would arrest fifteen law-abiding citizens for trying to rid the city of its segregated and shameful past in the same manner an 1860 Valdosta City Charter was removed in 2004 from Valdosta City Hall that led into the Municipal Court room that read:

(Para 100, (Section XI), “THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL SHALL PASS ALL PROPER AND NECESSARY LAWS OR ORDINANCES FOR THE CONTROL OF SLAVES, AND FREE PERSONS OF COLOR IN SAID TOWN AND SUPRESS, AND ABATE ALL NUISANCES ARRIVING FROM HOGS, DOGS, HORSES, OR OTHER STOCK STRAYING AT LARGE IN SAID TOWN, OR FROM OTHER CAUSES."

On June 23, 2006, George Hill Jr. became the thirteenth known death in or surrounding the Lowndes County Jail for whatever reason. While local elected officials seem to have turned deaf ear to this seventeen-year-old problem (4 deaths in nine months) in Valdosta and Lowndes County Georgia.

Many of these deceased inmates were American Veterans. But the city, county, state of Georgia, and the United States Department of Justice have not investigated or put a stop to this continuing trend.

I retired from the United States Air force in 1991. And never have I seen local elected officials, and the South Georgia Media so happy to see citizens arrested. While inmates continue to die without an investigation or investigative reporting by anyone. While for our elected representatives sit down, say noting and do nothing to stop this trend is a moral disgrace.

I received several calls from jailed inmates about the latest death. They said more deaths would occur because of the extreme heat, unsanitary, abusive, and practically no valid complaint system for jailed inmates.

RESPONSE: Chris Suellentrop comments on 29 March 2006 about Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney confrontation with Capital Hill Police shows the negative nature some Americans exhibit when a Black African American with guts, in-depth knowledge, love of country, culture, and people thinks outside the box of traditional incarceration and indoctrination.

Congresswoman McKinney is a shero and outstanding American in her own time. Chris undue criticism will never change that fact. The more she is criticized the deeper many Americans fall in love with her, and supports her.

It is routine for certain Americans to speak ill of our most honored Black Leaders. The Rev. Martin L. King Jr., Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, Harriet Tubman etc., was all criticized while they lived. But they became famous after Blacks and others fought and died to get their names in American history books.

Without congress people like the Honorable Cynthia McKinney some Americans would be without a voice and hope. But we know that our beautiful, strong, bold, courageous, congresswoman will continue to speak what others are afraid to keep in their head because of fear.

Moreover, this is why many Black and White Right people respect her courage, image, and intrepidity. As she walk in the flames of fire and spirit of the founding fathers of this Republic.

Be it known, that when you criticize this beautiful ambassador of courage. You are carrying on the tradition of many Americans as in the past. However, the struggle continues in strength, righteousness, and beauty as American History records!

"Democrates refused to conedemn McKinney high smear campaign against the Capitol Hill police sinks to a new low to political cowardice, and stupidty. The dunky party haplessness on public safety and national security issues. There contempt for law enforcement is a hall mark of the party of Ted Kennedy, AL Sharpton, Chuck Schumann, Jesse Jackson, and the coalition."

I guess if Rev. Martin L. King Jr., was alive Michelle would add his name to her list of cowards etc., to satisfy others. She went on to say, "Democrats have yet to utter one clear word in defense of the people who protect their privileged backsides day in and night in Washington. McKinney is spitting venom about double standards of justice."

Ms Malkin please, criticizes Tom Delay and others who are now in legal trouble. Mention the nearly 2500 of our sons and daughters who have died in an unjustified war in Iraq. Look around the corner; look into the mirror, into Black History, the Civil Rights struggle, American history, and world history. Study the Project for a New American Century, and the New World Order being thrusts upon us by Americas elites.

So before you condemn those who fought for the bottom and legs attached to your chair. Thank the founding mothers and fathers who secured your present seat, which may not be so permanent at all.

They were the true patriots, and refused to be divided by religion, political labels etc., so remember the freedoms you enjoy did not come free. So show some respect and appreciation for those who fought for you before you knew what the fight was all about. Peace!

This event was so historically rewarding that I had to write concerning the "Greater St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church 2006 Mothers Day Banquet."

For years I have been impressed with the Honorable Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. As she stand strong on the floor of the United States Congress and represent not only the people of the 4^th Congressional District of Georgia but all Americans.

But on May 13, 2006, I got to talk one on one extensively with Cynthia McKinney beautiful golden haired mother Leola McKinney. I quickly discovered where Congresswoman McKinney received her strength, courage, natural beauty, and. ability to articulate on any given subject.

The people from Valdosta, Homerville, Waycross, Moody Air Force Base, Atlanta, and from other areas across the state made this 2006, banquet an evening to remember.

Moreover, it made me proud to have retired in Valdosta from the Armed Forces of our beloved nation. The banquet theme was “Chosen to Shine in the Darkest of Times,” Greater St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church in Valdosta did a superb job. The main purpose of the event was to honor a deserving mother for 2006, and Dr. Ronda Cross-Scott was chosen.

Her accomplishments went far beyond what was required to win. It is practically impossible to mention all her accomplishments. Therefore, I will summarize what was reported in the Valdosta Daily Times on March 14^th 2006.

That “Dr. Ronda Cross Scott learned of unjust fees from some constituents while serving as a Clinch County Commissioner. The federal lawsuit in which the jail was charging room and board like the Holiday Inn has truly opened the eyes of many.

As a result of Dr. Cross Scott’s work $27,000 will be returned to people who paid fees from 2000 to 2004.” Therefore, she is very much deserving of this recognition, exposure and high honor. Our community in my opinion owes a debt of gratitude to the members of the Peoples Tribunal for an outstanding welcome extended to the Honorable Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney at Rev Floyd and Estelle Rose home before the historical event.

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney proved by her visit. That she is truly an American Shero, and her speech empowered us to go beyond the traditional box of incarceration, and indoctrination. She is proof that Georgia will have a major role in the 21^st century for change, exposure, and diversity. Therefore, we who respect truth must support her with our prayers, love, and financial support for speaking truth to power in the midst of the Iraq War, The Patriot Act, Project for a New American Century, Wire Taps, and the monitoring of private phone calls. Oh really! I was highly honored to have been in the company of our beloved Congresswoman from the 4th Congressional District D-GA following St Peters African Methodist Episcopal Church 2006, Mothers Day Banquet held in Valdosta, Georgia on May 13, 2006.

However, the things that could keep the forty-three international and stateside business investors out of our state is NOT Rep. McKinney’s actions with U.S. Capitol Hill Police as indicated in VDTs on April 6, 2006.

It is the real world conditions that exist in Valdosta, Lowndes County, and the State of Georgia. For example, out of twenty-three department heads in the city of Valdosta, and Lowndes County less than five (5), are held by Blacks as of Aug 2005. When threats and racial slurs were made towards a Black candidate running for Chairman of the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners in a recent county election.
The local media whiteout machine never reported the victim’s name. Even though, a man was charged and arrested. The poll was closed temporarily and a sheriff’s deputy remained on the scene. When national civil rights organization representative came to town from Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Rainbow (PUSH) Coalition, and addressed the Valdosta City School Board of Education concerning children being taken out of school, and jailed with bipolar disorders.

The local media failed to inform the citizens of Lowndes County Georgia. Even though the School Board of Education Room was packed with concerned citizens. In 2005, an event was called and held in Barber Park by members of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Rainbow (PUSH) Coalition and drew hundreds of people. However, the local media failed to cover the event. The VDT did publish a blurred picture and twenty words beneath it. But other news media failed to report this community event.

Local citizens had to travel (too many) miles to cast their vote in a recent city election and this was a media whiteout. The Rainwater Conference Center had an alleged hiring problem that seems to exclude Blacks from management positions. One applicant application was not even considered and left in a desk drawer as reported by an employee.

Minority contractors are allegedly not being equally awarded as others in the construction world in Valdosta, and Lowndes County for whatever reasons. Moreover, when Tom Delay, Senator Strong Thurman, and our own local city officials had embarrassing moments. When some were charged with misappropriation of funds. Never did our local media report that they embarrassed our city, county and the State of Georgia.

When Vice President Chaney shot a fellow hunter and weapons of mass destruction was not found in Iraq. The same venom was not spewed out in black ink on white paper as NOW being done to The Honorable Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. But through our prayers, love, attention, support, and the (Holy Spirit) of our ancestors. This SHERO will stand VICTORIOUS. Because when truth comes falsehood must vanish and falsehood is forever a vanishing thing!

So what is all this fluff and stuff? If good Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindu, and YOU refuse to speak truth to power. Chris Suellentrop comments on 29 March 2006 about Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney confrontation with Capital Hill Police shows the negative nature some Americans exhibit when a Black African American with guts, in-depth knowledge, love of country, culture, and people thinks outside the box of traditional incarceration and indoctrination.

Congresswoman McKinney is a shero and outstanding American in her own time. Chris undue criticism will never change that fact. The more she is criticized the deeper many Americans fall in love with her, and supports her.

It is routine for certain Americans to speak ill of our most honored Black Leaders. The Rev. Martin L. King Jr., Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, Harriet Tubman etc., was all criticized while they lived. But they became famous after Blacks and others fought and died to get their names in American history books.

Without congress people like the Honorable Cynthia McKinney some Americans would be without a voice and hope. But we know that our beautiful, strong, bold, courageous, congresswoman will continue to speak what others are afraid to keep in their head because of fear.

Moreover, this is why many Black and White Right people respect her courage, image, and intrepidity. As she walk in the flames of fire and spirit of the founding fathers of this Republic.

Be it known, that when you criticize this beautiful ambassador of people. You are carrying on the tradition of many Americans as in the past. However, the struggle continues in strength, righteousness, and beauty as American History records!

"Democrates refused to conedemn McKinney high smear campaign against the Capitol Hill police sinks to a new low to political cowardice, and stupidty. The dunky party haplessness on public safety and national security issues. There contempt for law enforcement is a hall mark of the party of Ted Kennedy, AL Sharpton, Chuck Schumann, Jesse Jackson, and the coalition."

I guess if Rev. Martin L. King Jr., was alive Michelle would add his name to her list of cowards etc., to satisfy others. She went on to say, "Democrats have yet to utter one clear word in defense of the people who protect their privileged backsides day in and night in Washington. McKinney is spitting venom about double standards of justice."

Ms Malkin please, criticizes Tom Delay and others who are now in legal trouble. Mention the nearly 2500 of our sons and daughters who have died in an unjustified war in Iraq. Look around the corner; look into the mirror, into Black History, the Civil Rights struggle, American history, and world history. Study the Project for a New American Century, and the New World Order being thrusts upon us by Americas elites.

So before you condemn those who fought for the bottom and legs attached to your chair. Thank the founding mothers and fathers who secured your present seat, which may not be so permanent at all.

They were the true patriots, and refused to be divided by religion, political labels etc., so remember the freedoms you enjoy did not come free. So show some respect and appreciation for those who fought for you before you knew what the fight was all about. Peace!

Dear Editors, message boards, blogs, concerned citizens and beyond…

Very interesting, that the grand jury refused to indict Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of the 4th Congressional district of Georgia for her encounter with a Capitol Hill police officer.

Now she must be aware that as long as she continue to speak truth to power. She will continue to experience the dungeon like experience as Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Nelson Mandela, Moses, Rev. Martin L. King Jr. and others who traveled that great line of divine.

Not that she is a bad person. But her clear vision is blinding to many of her peers. As they seek to destroy her behind closed doors and this includes our mass media network.

I pray that Cynthia understand that the enemies of God have always been the enemies of real people. Just notice how the media uses black ink on white paper to present her in a negative light. Then publish photos that fail to show her beauty, political prowess, honesty and patriotism. Because they seem to fear man as they ought to fear God and this seem to include the Congressional Black Caucus.

Congresswoman McKinney’s courage should energize all American to stand up for truth, feed the hungry, cloth the naked, and provide shelter for the homeless. Even thought it may include condemning people in extremely high and low places of our government.

So run Cynthia run, keep moving the right pieces on the House Square and reserve (your), checkmate for the good of the American people and the preservation of our beloved Republic.

OPINION: The AP released by Laurie Kellman printed in the Valdosta Daily Times on June 20, 2006 read, “Police group wants probe.” Because a federal Grand Jury refused to indict Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney.

Amazing! It is never enough when it comes to outspoken American critics of this administration and their cronies.

The fraternal order of police said they will send a letter to the House ethics committee on McKinney’s behavior. If they don’t get what they want I believe. They will seek another avenue to condemn McKinney for whatever reasons.

This method was used against Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X, Dick Gregory, and Rev Martin L. King Jr... However, the American people refused their venom and these figures became American Heroes. When citizens question improper police actions the law enforcement community responds. The judge has ruled, the case is closed, the officer was in compliance with policy, and why can’t we just move on.

McKinney’s critics must realize that many Americans have lost trust and respect for mainstream media, politicians, and law enforcement. This includes the Supreme Court because of its decision to permit no knock search and seizures by law enforcement among other recent decisions by the courts. That seem to be taking away citizen rights.

Moreover, it seems that COINTELPRO, the Patriot Act, the New World Order, and the Project for a New American Century have established the foundation for the New American Empire. And unless, we the people wake up and realize that it is not coffee in our cup. But the undoing juices and tricks of a closely knit few. Who seem to be destroying our beloved Republic.

Just look into the president eyes, listen to his words, demeanor, and observe those who sit around him as his advisors. Smell the fragrances in the air and feel the pain of families who have lost over 2500 of their love ones to the tune of "Bring it on" Not to mention thousands of others whose life will never be the same. Run Cynthia run, we need a voice and you are that voice!
